Earlier this month pro landscaper headed to the royal botanic gardens, kew to take a look around its latest garden, the children’s garden. Kew gardens playground is an interactive space with lots of fun things to discover. The children’s garden is part of kew gardens and entry is included in your kew gardens entrance ticket.

Our exciting new garden is especially designed for children from 2 to 12 years old. The children’s garden is closest to elizabeth and brentford gates. The 18th may saw the opening of the new children’s garden at the royal botanical gardens kew.

This doesn’t mean it lacks the usual bells and whistles of a playground; It is a huge beautifully landscaped area, so tranquil and full of nature. Based in a natural setting the size of 40 tennis courts, children will be able to explore all the things plants need to grow;

Kew gardens didn’t want to create a playground but rather a play garden and with the assistance of chris chippendale, landscape architect for ground control, and the construction team at ground control this is something that it more than succeeded at. By richard barley in may 2019, we opened our new children’s garden here at kew gardens. The entrance is adjacent to the climbers and creepers indoor play area next to the white peaks cafe and shop, which is convenient for coffee, lunch or ice cream. There is also the spectacular chihuly exhibition, reflections on nature running until 27 october with dazzling contemporary glass sculptures scattered about the landscape.

So this was a whole new adventure for all of us. Covering 10,000 metres squared, it's the size of 40 tennis courts and includes lots of natural elements. By amy brotherton as if kew gardens wasn’t magical enough already, they’ve now gone and created a lush play area just for kids, that feels like stepping into a secret space.

Handspring design came up with the concept for the design at kew and working in partnership with all urban and pcf works built the installation at their workshop in sheffield before transporting the finished item down to london on the back of a series of lorries.

For local families i really recommend membership which is excellent value compared to the standard entry ticket price. There is an infinite amount to see and space to explore. The garden offers our young visitors a place to run, jump and play while learning.

We're extremely excited to announce that our brand new children's garden has officially opened! 🌿 whilst exploring all the things that plants need to grow, your children can run, jump, climb and play in a natural area the size of 40 tennis courts! We bought tickets to enter kew gardens online, and selected the free timeslot tickets to the children’s garden as extras at the time of booking.

We parked on kew green and entered via the elizabeth gate, which was only a short walk from the entrance to the children’s garden. Two years in the making, a new children's garden at kew</venuetag> opens to the public on 18th may 2019. Booking is now open for play sessions in the children's garden.
